Last Day of Chemo

Just a short post to say that in about 10 minutes I'll wrap up Round 6, Day 2 of chemo. That means no more chemo until the pesky lymphoma returns. Whether that's 1 month, 10 years or somewhere in between, who knows. But for now, we'll celebrate.

  1. Excellent news! I hope it's a long, long time before they see you in that chair again. When you're past this one, do something fabulous.

    1. Thanks Cynthia. And amen to that. Of course, we cheated and did something fabulous after round 4. Would have been even more amazing to go to Disney POST chemo, but at tail end of Round 4 worked great too!

  2. I don't know you, MB, but I stumbled upon your blog via a shared post on Facebook. Congratulations on completing chemo. If there's one thing I've observed from my friend Freddie going through this, you have to be one helluva strong person. That's something to be proud of (& a great example for the kids). If your appetite is back, I hope SuperBowl Sunday is full of awesomely bad food for you.
    Cheers,

    1. Hi Suz:
Thanks for stopping by. Love it when people stumble upon the blog. Ihope your friend Freddie is on the other side of treatment and managed as i did: with the best care team in the world; the most supportive friends and family I could ask for and a little blog therapy.
      Thanks again.

(p.s. - not sure what's happening with blogger, but this is my third attempt to post this comment so apologies if it shows up three times.)

  3. Hello,
Just wanted to thank you for your blog. I'm also a younger otherwise healthy adult (36) diagnosed with FL and currently watching and waiting. Reading about your personal experience has helped lessen my anxiety about what may lie ahead for me. I'm happy to see you are finished with chemo. I hope you have an endless remission!

    1. Hi Teresa:
So glad you commented! And even happier that the blog has helped. My early days were loaded with anxiety -- which is a natural state for me. I love the term endless remission and appreciate the good wishes. All the same to you.
